ECOCHIC SHANGHAI FASHION SHOW

ABOUT

EcoChic Shanghai was a 40 designer sustainable fashion show containing a groundbreaking 13 Chinese designers that took place on 12 January 2008 at ’1933′, a revitalised concrete-clad Art Deco building in downtown Shanghai. The fashion show was in three parts to demonstrate a wider range of sustainable fashion techniques, many of which were relatively new concepts to a largely Chinese audience. Part 1 was vintage and secondhand clothing; part 2 was sustainable local and international ready-to-wear labels; and part 3 was sustainable couture made using sustainable textiles by local and international designers.
