We gathered our Hong Kong Redress Design Award Alumni together at The Hive Studios last month for a networking event with a twist... First, questions around the current challenges we collectively face in moving towards a truly sustainable fashion supply chain were thrown snowball style in the venue with guests selecting a ‘ball’ at random to discuss in an active ice-breaking session.
Arnault Castel of kapok, (our Redress Design Award 2018 Alumni Prize sponsor) then shared his inspiring business story with the room, giving insight into Hong Kong market's appetite to support independent labels.
Following which our emerging designers were paired up with numerous industry gurus who offered invaluable practical advice on incorporating sustainability into their work, whatever our alumni's career choices in fashion!
