CREATING A CIRCULAR SYSTEM FOR UNWANTED CLOTHES

New partner Jeeves expands Redress’ Hong Kong clothing collection points to 19 locations

We are delighted to announce that our new partner Jeeves, Hong Kong is now accepting clothing donations at their Aberdeen and Central stores - enabling us to reach a wider audience with our mission to reduce fashion’s waste. Hong Kongers now have a choice of 19 locations across the city where they can easily donate unwanted clothes to Redress for sorting and re-distribution for reuse or recycling.

To date Redress has collected 41 tonnes of clothing, with an incredible 19.4 tonnes collected in 2018 alone! Our work to raise public awareness about the issues of textile waste, whilst increasing the accessibility and transparency of clothes recycling continues to grow exponentially. Whilst there are numerous challenges around logistics, manpower and the specifics of the 20+ waste streams we sort and re-distribute into, we are excited to be at the forefront of developing a new textile waste infrastructure for Hong Kong.
